On July 8, 2021, the representatives of the Institute TECHINFORMI, Dr. Marina Razmadze and Natavan Alieva attended the first regional training session for the Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA) Partners in Europe. During the training, the guidelines on using OpenASFA to create ASFA records were discussed. The training was attended by participants from different European countries.

On 25^th of June, the Institute for Scientific and Technical Information - TECHINFORMI of GTU, organized an online seminar for the agricultural community of Georgia - “Increase the visibility and accessibility of the agricultural data produced in Georgia through the FAO AGRIS International information system and AGROVOC multilingual thesaurus”.

Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA) is an international co-operative of fisheries and aquaculture organizations that work together to record and disseminate the world’s literature on aquatic sciences and fisheries. Techinformi has partnered with ASFA for many years, and for the last two years ASFA has provided the Institute Techinformi with free access to its database. The ASFA database contains over 2.5 million records covering literature on the science, technology, management, and conservation of marine, brackish water, and freshwater resources and environments, including their socio-economic and legal aspects. Each record contains an abstract and link to the full text article where available.
